I am going to explain why and if a squeeze page can rank #1 on the search engines such as Google, Yahoo or Bing. After reading this, you will have the truth as to whether or not the search engines like squeeze pages. Let’s begin…
The short answer is – No! Search engines like squeeze pages as much (or as little) as any other website. That is a fact no matter what the uninformed on the forums will say. I am out here in the trenches earning my full time living doing this stuff – so I track everything.
I have found that search engines often rank squeeze pages pretty quickly. Why? Because they often force the web master to FOCUS their website around one primary theme, or keyword, which ironically makes it far easier for Google, Yahoo and Bing to determine what the site is about – and thus it tends to rank very well!
Weird, I know. But if you look at typical websites that are “all over the map”, this really makes sense. The search engines aren’t out to get you – just the opposite! They need our help to determine where our site fits! The nature of the squeeze page makes you edit yourself carefully and get laser focused, and so I often find squeeze pages rank faster than other websites that don’t have this degree of focus.
For evidence just open your eyes when doing Google searches. Nearly every for-profit website has a squeeze page for their home page OR what I call a “modified squeeze page.” I carefully track my rankings across over three dozen websites that I own – and there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that a squeeze page ranks better or worse than any other website.
Let me give you proof.
This website ranks #1 for the VERY competitive term “squeeze page software” and “squeeze page.” This is my very own site at www.SpeedSqeezePages.com! You can see it is a squeeze page built using my very own Speed Squeeze Pages Software. Take a look:

Here is the Squeeze Page that is ranking #1… it should look familiar (hee hee)

Above I mentioned the “modified squeeze page.” Would you like to see an example of this? I will warn you that this site is too “corporate” for my taste. But I have to give them credit for utilizing the “above the fold” principle on their squeeze page. Check it out:

This is eHarmony. You should go take a look at their modified squeeze page. Same thing that I’m doing, only different market. Hint – Their squeeze page ALSO ranks VERY well.
Here is another racy example from the dating market of a site ranking VERY well in rankings and notice once again the “above the fold” in use:

This is the squeeze page used by Passion.com
The bottom line is that squeeze pages can be seen ranking #1 ion the search engines all over the place. Be careful what you read on the forums – because opinions are the cheapest commodity and everyone has them (even if they haven’t a clue what they are talking about:)
If you think that it is too complicated too build terrific looking Squeeze Pages… well than you must watch my instructional video. You get an “over the shoulder view” of how I built a killer squeeze page in under 3 minutes. To watch it go here and optin…

OK, heres where Im confused. May be so simple it sounds stupid but Im lost. OK, lets assume one has a website and wants a squeeze page ( or a enter here above the fold to capture email, name, build a list or ?? give away a free or complimentary tip, item or product ).
Now, this page has to go somewhere when the ( user ) clicks after entering info ? ( plus info must be verified somehow ie sent to email address ? or a page appears ) Thus lets assume your website is ” example . com ” will it not be required to have another domain to land the squeeze click on ???
How do you incorporate the squeeze page into the website ? and or landing page ? ( noting what if you want the reward, document, study…tip to not be available for easy finding on a website ??? after all then the squeeze page becomes less valuable because the landing page may be found ??? Right ?? )
Confused ?

You determine where to send them in Aweber using the “confirm url.” It is very easy to do. Where you send them ‘depends’ of course on your business goal and lead marketing funnel. There are infinite options here – send them directly to a Clickbank affiliate offer, direct link asap after they optin, or send them on to your company website etc. Again, totally depends on how you’ve structured your marketing funnel and there is no “right way” – because the guy selling software, will have totally different marketing funnel then the Dentist getting leads for how teeth whitening office visit vs. a guy doing Cost Per Action (CPA) offers.

Ben,
Do you have examples of the marketing funnel for an office such as a chiropractor or dentist? I would love to use the squeeze page to drive clients into my office, and having the flow in a diagram would be awesome. Thanks!

Squeeze Page -> After opting in the aweber confirmation link, takes them immediately to a chiropractic website page that contains a downloadbale Office Visit Coupon (eg. youre taking them from a speed squeeze page to the page on your main chiropractyic website containing an office visit coupon or similar.) So that takes care of that side of things. The real magic happens however from a 10-20 step email follow up autoresponder sequence. For best idea for emails, go to PBC click Recent newsletters and study the FAQ Formula training. Essentially, you’re emailing them one “FAQ” video a day.
